The term empath is often utilized by psychologists to characterize someone who possesses profound empathy, frequently to the extent of absorbing the pain of others at their own detriment. In addition to her role as an empath, Donna is an enthusiastic Paranormal Investigator and a practitioner of Wicca, and she also serves as an administrator.

In 2026, we celebrate six remarkable years since the inception of I.P.A, founded by Donna and Dave, whose shared passion for the paranormal stems from personal encounters with the unexplained. Their journey ignited a relentless pursuit for evidence, truth, and understanding of the unknown. I.P.A sets itself apart from typical paranormal groups through a rigorous scientific approach, focusing on debunking myths while simultaneously seeking to validate the existence of paranormal phenomena. Both Donna and Dave dedicated themselves to their individual studies and aspirations until their paths converged in 2020, leading to the establishment of I.P.A as we know it today. Through self-funding and generous donations, they have built a research center organization committed to the investigation of paranormal and other extraordinary phenomena. Join us in congratulating I.P.A on six years of unwavering dedication.

Our Mission

Our Structure

& Meet the Team

I.P.A (Investigating Paranormal Anomalies) was established on November 16, 2020, by Donna and Dave with a vision that transcends profit. We function as an Unincorporated Organisation, focused solely on thorough research and dedication to paranormal investigation and historical inquiry. Our self-funded projects rely on generous donations, allowing us to operate on a professional level supported by our trained team. Currently, we stand as the sole Paranormal Research organisation based in Loughborough, proudly serving Loughborough and Leicestershire, and occasionally extending our reach to surrounding areas. Our enthusiasm and expertise in the paranormal and the unknown drive our mission forward. As an ‘unincorporated association,’ we unite individuals for purposes beyond profit, similar to voluntary groups or sports clubs. Our headquarters, known as I.P.A.R.C., serves as both our organisation's hub and research center, entirely dependent on donations and self-funding. Our objective is to provide compelling evidence of the paranormal through scientific research, delivering exceptional results to our clients while envisioning an expansive future. Donna and Dave share a consensus that, despite prevalent beliefs, science often lacks an open-minded perspective towards the paranormal, frequently dismissing the possibility of unexplained phenomena. This skepticism is somewhat justified, given the prevalence of discredited mediums, sensationalized television programs, and commercial paranormal groups that misinterpret every sound as an intelligent response from beyond. At I.P.A, we have diligently cultivated our credibility, trust, and reputation, honoring both locations and the individuals, living or deceased. If you seek assistance in investigating your home or business, please reach out via our contact page; we come equipped with all necessary tools. We also welcome the opportunity to join your investigative team, provided that a consent form is completed prior to our involvement. Our commitment to safety is paramount, demonstrated by our full Public Liability Insurance and thorough risk assessments for every location. Paranormal Investigation involves exploring sites reported to harbor ghosts or spiritual energies, where our team endeavors to gather evidence supporting such claims. We utilize a range of electronic equipment, including EMF meters, digital thermometers, handheld and static digital video cameras, thermographic and night vision cameras, as well as digital audio recorders. Traditional methods, such as interviews and historical research of purportedly haunted locations, are also integral to our approach. We refrain from using the term 'ghost hunters,' as it inaccurately describes our role; we identify as dedicated researchers in the field of the paranormal. The practice of ghost hunting/paranormal investigation has faced criticism for often neglecting scientific rigor, with no scientific study definitively confirming the existence of ghosts or spirits, leading many educators, academics, and skeptics to classify it as pseudoscience. A national daily newspaper reported in July 2015 that 82% of Britons believe in the supernatural, 68% claim to have experienced a supernatural event, and 56% have felt a connection with a loved one who has passed. History is essential to the phenomenon of hauntings. We provide advice and guidance, striving to alleviate anomalous activity at the client's request. Additionally, we offer support to parents addressing their child’s paranormal experiences, accessible through our Junior I.P.A Page. Remember, you are not alone!
